LMS for accredited and CE/CPD training providers (2026)

Key takeaways (updated October 21, 2026): Cubite is a purpose-built LMS for training providers who sell their own accredited and compliance courses, and a modern alternative to LearnDash and Uncanny. Cubite LMS costs $290 a month or $2,900 a year per site, with unlimited learners and courses.

In Cubite LMS ($290 a month), courses can carry continuing-education credits that appear on each learner's transcript and in a credits report, and certificates can expire.

Disclosure: Cubite publishes this guide and makes Cubite LMS, one of the platforms compared below. Each competitor's details come from its own website on October 21, 2026.

What a continuing-education provider needs from an LMS

  • Credits on every completion, in your own unit, such as CEUs, CPD hours or PDHs, recorded when the learner finishes.
  • A transcript per learner that lists each course, its completion date and the credits earned.
  • Certificates that can be verified by an employer or a board, and that expire when the credential needs renewal.
  • A credits report you can hand to your accrediting body.
  • Paid courses and bundles, with checkout on your own payment account.
  • SCORM or xAPI for content you buy or build in an authoring tool.

One thing the LMS does not do: accredit you. You stay the accredited provider, the credits are your own units, and the LMS records and reports them.

How Cubite LMS handles CE and CPD

A site turns credits on and names the unit; it is CEUs until you change it. Each course can carry a credit value, which is recorded on the learner's record when they complete it, appears on their transcript, which ends with an accreditation statement you can edit, and feeds a credits report.

Every certificate gets a statement code that anyone can check on the public verify page, and the built-in designs print a QR code that opens it. A course can set a validity period, so its certificates expire, and the certificate expiry report lists who has expired or falls due within 30, 60 or 90 days. Learning paths string several courses together, with a path certificate of their own and a total of the credits earned in them. If you train your own staff for compliance, our compliance training LMS guide covers the audit records.

Courses sell one by one or in paid bundles, with checkout in US dollars through your own Stripe account. SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 and xAPI play natively, with a built-in learning record store. See Cubite LMS pricing.

Leaving WooCommerce and LearnDash: Cubite moves the whole LearnDash site, including learners, enrollments, progress, quiz attempts and groups, with earned certificates re-issued, as a migration it runs for you from a copy of its database. The migration is included at no extra cost with every paid Cubite LMS plan: Growth at $290 a month or $2,900 a year, Perpetual, or Enterprise. Continuing-education LMS questions

01What is a continuing-education LMS?
A continuing-education LMS delivers accredited courses and keeps the evidence: credits per completion in the provider's unit, a transcript per learner, certificates that can be verified and renewed, and a credits report for the accrediting body. Many also sell the courses. In Cubite LMS ($290 a month), courses can carry continuing-education credits that appear on each learner's transcript and in a credits report, and certificates can expire.
02Can Cubite LMS award CEUs or CPD credits?
Cubite LMS records the credits you award, in the unit you name: it puts them on each learner's transcript, which ends with an accreditation statement you can edit, and totals them in a credits report. You remain the accredited provider: Cubite is not an accrediting body and awards nothing.
03Do certificates in Cubite LMS expire?
They can. A course can set a validity period, so its certificates expire, and the certificate expiry report lists who has expired or falls due within 30, 60 or 90 days. Each certificate also has a statement code for public verification, and the built-in designs print a QR code that opens the verify page.
04What does a CE LMS cost?
Cubite LMS costs $290 a month or $2,900 a year per site, with unlimited learners and courses. LearnUpon, Absorb, Thought Industries, EthosCE, CE21 and InReach CE did not publish LMS prices on their own sites on October 21, 2026.
05Can I move from WooCommerce and LearnDash to Cubite LMS?
Yes. Cubite moves the whole LearnDash site, including learners, enrollments, progress, quiz attempts and groups, with earned certificates re-issued, as a migration it runs for you from a copy of its database, and your courses then sell through Stripe checkout on your own account in place of WooCommerce. The migration is included at no extra cost with every paid Cubite LMS plan.
